Inspired by obsidian and its natural reflective quality. A surface defined by subtle detail and a quiet interaction with light.
In ancient Mexico, obsidian was treasured for its striking beauty and natural brilliance. Its deep black, mirror-like surface symbolized strength and power, often reserved for fine jewelry and tools of high status. Here, the legacy of Mexican craftsmanship is reimagined through a contemporary lens. Obsidian inlays are arranged to create a refined visual rhythm across the wall, giving the effect of jewelry in architectural form. It honors the cultural significance of obsidian while expressing a modern sense of sophistication and craft.
