Common Questions
What are limit straps and why do I need them?Limit straps are a suspension component designed to prevent your shocks from fully extending past their intended range. This stops the jarring clunking sound, protects your shocks and CV joints from damage, and is especially important when using larger aftermarket tires and wheels.
How do I know when my limit straps need replacing?Limit straps are a wearing item, much like brake pads. While they are durable, they do have a lifespan. You should inspect them periodically for signs of wear, fraying, or excessive stretching beyond what can be adjusted out.
Are these limit straps adjustable?Yes, Shock Therapy limit straps are fully adjustable at the shock body mount. This allows you to precisely tune them to account for natural strap stretch over time without losing suspension travel.
Do these straps require welding for installation? No, our patented billet aluminum upper clamp attaches directly to the shock body without any welding required, making installation straightforward.
