Lightest in its Class
Weighing only 665 grams, this lens is the lightest in its category of 300mm lenses compatible with full-frame mirrorless cameras. Thanks to its thoughtful design, the lens is easy to carry and can be used for longer periods of time than heavier lenses.

High Speed & Precise AF
A fast and precise autofocus makes sure that subjects are quickly caught and are clear in every shot, even if they are moving. This translates to fewer missed or deleted shots because photos are sharper.

High Speed & Precise AF
With the 50mm focal length, users can experiment with “half-macro photography.” Get up close (up to 22 cm!) away from your subject and capture every detail the way you want to, all without needing a dedicated macro lens. This is ideal for photographing the flowers in a garden or field, insects, or any other small object.

Half-macro photography
Inside the lens are two XLD elements and two LD elements. These special glass elements might be small, but they are a big help in reducing chromatic aberrations.
