Glengoyne Cask Strength is the full-power expression of the Highland distillery founded in 1833 at the foot of Dumgoyne hill, famous for the slowest distillation in Scotland and a complete absence of peat. Owned by Ian Macleod Distillers, Glengoyne releases it in numbered batches, married from first-fill sherry, refill and bourbon casks and bottled without chill filtration or added color. At 114.4 proof (57.2% ABV), it is rich and intense: dried fruit, toffee, butterscotch and abundant vanilla on the nose with oak and spice, then a full-bodied palate of sherried dark fruit, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, fig and date, with a splash of water unlocking a velvety creaminess with pepper, nutmeg and clove. The finish is long and warming. Excellent value for a cask-strength sherried malt and a great bottle for the drinker who likes to dilute to taste.Buy Glengoyne Cask Strength Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky online with fast shipping right to your door.
