Keep your Kit-Cat or Kitty-Cat Klock’s signature wagging tail swinging with our replacement Battery Clock Hook Tails. Designed for battery-powered 15.5" Kit-Cat Klocks (Model B2) and 12.75" Kitty-Cat Klocks, these hook-type tails are available in a variety of colors to match your clock’s style. Select your clock size and choose from available colors for current models to restore the playful animation that brings your clock to life.
Key Features:

Customizable Options: Choose 15.5" Kit-Cat Klock (Model B2, e.g., Classic Black) or 12.75" Kitty-Cat Klock (e.g., Black KC-1) and select from available colors for current models. Check your clock’s face for “Kit-Cat” or “Kitty-Cat” to confirm size.

Restores Animation: Hook-type tail attaches to the lever’s rectangular slot, ensuring smooth wagging motion driven by the clock’s magnetic field.

Easy Installation: No tools required! Gently hook the tail onto the lever’s rectangular slot and pull downward to secure, ensuring proper tension for animation.

Durable Design: Crafted for long-lasting performance, proudly made in the USA by the California Clock LLC.

Compatibility Note: For battery-powered Model B2 Kit-Cat and compatible Kitty-Cat clocks with a rectangular slot on the lever. Not for clocks with a triangular hole lever, Model B1, or electric clocks (e.g., Model D3, D5, D8). Contact support@kit-cat.com for our vintage parts inventory of older variations.

Installation Tips (from Doctor Kit-Cat):

Confirm your lever has a rectangular slot at the bottom (not a protrusion for triangular hole tails). Contact support@kit-cat.com if unsure.

Remove the old tail by unhooking it from the lever. Place the clock face-down on a towel with batteries removed.

Carefully hook the new tail onto the lever’s rectangular slot, ensuring the hook is fully engaged.

Gently pull the tail downward to set proper tension, then hang the clock vertically (top slightly tilted 3/4 inch from the wall) to test animation.

Test with fresh batteries (2 C for Kit-Cat, positive tips up; 1 AA for Kitty-Cat, positive tip down). If the tail quivers or stops, try adding a small weight (e.g., a clipped clothespin) to the tail’s middle or adjust battery contacts for a tighter fit. Consult the Doctor Kit-Cat troubleshooting guide for further help.

Pro Tip: Clean the lever slot with a lint-free cloth to ensure smooth tail movement.
