Yamaha JU109TC3PE 109cm Upright Piano with TC3 TransAcoustic System in Polished Ebony｜ Other Products

The acoustic piano is a magnificent instrument that lets you express yourself. If you’re joyful, it sounds joyful; if you’re sorrowful, it sounds sorrowful, too. It obediently responds to and reflects your inner emotions. And as you experience the enjoyment and occasional difficulties of playing the piano, you can grow together over the years, as it truly becomes your own instrument. Yamaha upright pianos possess incredibly rich sound and reliable quality, responding faithfully to your innermost thoughts and deepest passions.
In our minds, the piano is not a “finished” instrument; we relentlessly endeavor to improve the piano for those who enjoy playing it. As we pursue ‘ideals’ for the piano—ideal sound, ideal resonance, even ideal styles—we continue to positively evolve the piano in a variety of ways, including employing innovative manufacturing methods and the meticulous selection of new materials. The Yamaha piano brand is renowned and loved all over the world, and we strive to keep that reputation.
The extraordinary TransAcoustic™ Piano allows you to mute the sound and even control the volume, while still enveloping you with the uniquely rich sound of an acoustic piano. At the heart of the piano, the soundboard amplifies and projects the natural timbres generated by the transducer, providing an entirely new way to enjoy an advanced digital piano. Now you can immerse yourself in the world of the piano whenever you feel inspired, without worrying about the time or your surroundings.
Inside an acoustic piano, hammers at the opposite side of the keys strike the strings, and the strings vibrate to produce sound. This initial sound is amplified by the soundboard that occupies much of the piano interior, and the entire body of the piano serves as a resonator, creating the rich and harmonically complex sound that is distinctively acoustic. Now, imagine an acoustic piano that allows you to control the volume, while still enjoying the original sound-projecting design of the piano based around the soundboard. That’s Yamaha's revolutionary TransAcoustic™ Piano.
A fine example of natural beauty, the JU109 features an exquisite combination of Yamaha craftsmanship and technology that make it delightfully affordable and a joy to play. TransAcoustic™ functionality has been added to this JU109. This is a TC3 type TransAcoustic™.
