Bardstown Bourbon Company Origin Series Rye is the first rye distilled in-house at the Bardstown, Kentucky distillery, released in January 2023. It uses the classic 95% rye, 5% malted barley mashbill, aged five years and eight months, then finished in custom barrels built with alternating staves of toasted American oak and toasted cherry wood, and is bottled at 48% ABV (96 proof).Breaking Bourbon rated it 3.5/5 and called it "full of rich flavors," finding nougat, marzipan, aged oak, barrel char, rye spice and leather on the nose, rye grain, charred oak, leather and chocolate with dried fig and Bing cherry on the palate, and a finish of bold rye spice, dried oak and Mexican chocolate. The cherry-wood finish sets it apart from every other 95/5 rye on the shelf. A serious sipping rye and a superb Manhattan base.Buy Bardstown Bourbon Company Origin Series Rye Whiskey online with fast shipping right to your door.
